The premiere of the ‘The Good, the Bad and the Children’ will take place at the Showcase Cinema, Coatbridge on Wednesday 12th January 2011.
The DVD was produced by a group of young people who participated in a summer filmmaking programme at fps media. The young people worked with fps media tutors to learn the various skills involved in producing a short drama, including scriptwriting, camera operation, sound recording, lighting, editing, drama skills and directing.
The project was funded by North Lanarkshire, Social Work Department and was designed to produce a series of dramas based on the North Lanarkshire Partnership’s Integrated Children’s Service Plan. Following the launch the informative DVD will be circulated across the authority to highlight issues such as drugs and alcohol, children and young people in care and keeping children and young people safe.
