fps media offers a range of innovative and exciting vocational training programmes culminating in a Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA) vocational qualification.
This type of training provides an ideal starting point for individuals interested in pursuing a career in the field of media by providing a range of skills, personal qualities and attitudes essential for success.
In collaboration with a range of partner organisations such as local authorities and community groups we can design, develop and deliver bespoke accredited programmes to suit the needs of your group and help them realise their true potential.
Training is delivered using a practical ‘hands on’ approach with students actively involved in the filmmaking process. During the course participants have the option to work towards a Higher National module in camera skills, sound recording and/or editing through the completion of live projects. Participants will also have the unique opportunity to access industry standard equipment and will gain an invaluable insight into the media industry as a whole.
In addition to the range of technical skills gained by participants our courses are designed to enhance social skills such as problem solving, communication skills, enterprise skills, team working and provide invaluable ‘life skills’ which will help prepare individuals for further education or the transition to the world of work.
